Q. Which cards are eligible for foreign transaction fee waiver offer?

This offer is available for all HBL CreditCards (Visa/Mastercard), including Green, Gold, and Platinum variants and HBL FuelSaver CreditCards.

Q. Does this apply to transactions made before 15th June or after 15th July 2025?

No. The fee waiver is only valid for transactions conducted between 15th June – 15th July 2025.

Q. What types of transactions qualify for 0% Foreign Transaction fee?

1. Point-of-Sale (POS) Transactions made at physical card machines outside Pakistan.

2. Online (e-commerce) purchases where the transaction is billed and settled in a foreign currency, regardless of the merchant’s location.

3. Transactions processed by international payment acquirers, including those where the merchant is based in Pakistan, but the transaction is settled outside Pakistan in foreign currency — such as with certain airlines or travel websites.

Q. Are Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) transaction considered in foreign transaction fee waiver campaign?

All transactions conducted on international POS or settled in foreign currency (USD) will be considered for foreign transaction fee.

Q. Is there a fee waiver for supplementary card transactions?

Yes, international transactions on supplementary credit card are eligible if the primary card is an HBL CreditCard.

Q. Is it applicable on ecommerce/online website having international payment gateway such as PIA, Temu etc.?

Yes, all transactions conducted on online/ecommerce websites having international checkout option will be eligible for fee waiver.

Q. Do I need to register for this offer?

No, the fee waiver is automatically applied to eligible transactions during the campaign.

Q. Will I still pay currency conversion charges?

Yes, the standard Visa/Mastercard exchange rate and tax applies. Only the 4% HBL transaction fee is waived.

Q. Will I be given reward points on this FX waiver campaign?

Yes, you may still earn reward points as per your card’s existing benefits.

Q. How will I know the fee was waived?

Check your CreditCard statement—the 4% fee will not appear on qualifying transactions.

Q. What happens after 15th July 2025?

The standard 4% foreign transaction fee will resume for all international purchases.
