You can use your HBL DebitCard at any POS that accepts Visa cards. The HBL DebitCard can be used for both transactions methods, that are, Chip-based and Magnetic Strip based.
The merchant will insert your card in the Point of Sale (POS) device for Chip verification and will ask you to enter your PIN. After your PIN is successfully validated, the transaction will be executed and you will receive the purchase slip from the POS.
If the merchant does not have Chip-enabled POS then the merchant will swipe your card on the POS using the magnetic strip on your card. When you receive the charge slip, check the amount, then proceed to sign it.
Do not forget to take your card & your transaction slip from the merchant.
HBL DebitCard is internationally accepted at retail outlets where Visa cards are accepted. It is also acceptable at all ATMs abroad that carry the Visa or Plus logos. You can view your account details and withdraw cash with the same PIN that is used in your home country.
