Habib Bank Limited - Sri Lanka (HBLSL) is a foreign bank and branch of Habib Bank Limited, which was incorporated in Pakistan. Its first international branch was established in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1951. The bank was approved to carry out both domestic and off-shore banking under the Banking Act No.30 of 1988.

HBLSL commenced commercial banking operations in Sri Lanka 7 decades ago in 1951. Since then the core activity of the bank was catering to the trade related sector in addition to the other banking activities, as the bank had the edge of having the global network. HBL Sri Lanka has extended its branch network to three branches and confined to Colombo in the Western Province.
