The submission of personal information through the online search and job application functions of this Site is subject to this Privacy Policy ("Policy").

HBL
This Site is operated by Habib Bank Limited (address: Habib Bank Plaza, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi, Pakistan) in order to support the recruitment functions of Habib Bank Limited and their subsidiaries and affiliates. This Policy refers to Habib Bank Limited and its subsidiaries and affiliates, collectively as "HBL".

PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION
HBL collects personal information that is directly relevant to its business, required to meet its legal obligations. In particular, HBL may collect the following categories of personal information necessary to process an employment application: name; contact details (including home address, home and mobile telephone numbers, personal email address, personal fax number, proof of address); nationality; date of birth; gender; credentials and qualifications (including languages spoken, special skills and memberships in professional organizations); competency test results; education/training; interview/assessment notes; prior work experience (e.g., background training and prior positions); work certificates, licenses and permits/authorizations; driver's license number; personal contacts within HBL; marital status and other information provided in the employment applicant's curriculum vitae ("CV") or employment application.

WHAT TYPES OF INFORMATION DOES THIS POLICY COVER?
This Policy covers any personal information, as suggested above, you submit through the Site as part of the job application or job search process. We encourage you not to provide sensitive information, as defined by your country's laws.

If you intend to provide us with details of a reference or any other third party as part of your CV/resume, it is your responsibility to obtain such third party's consent prior to passing their personal information to us.

You are responsible for the content of the information you provide to us and you must ensure it is legal, honest, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way.

HOW WILL THE PERSONAL INFORMATION SUBMITTED BE USED?
The information that you submit on the Site will be stored in Pakistan (and in the relevant jurisdiction(s) if the job relates to one of HBL's affiliated entities outside of Pakistan). Personal information you provide through the Site will be collected, used, transferred and disclosed ("processed") for HBL's global recruitment functions and for related management and planning purposes. It will be reviewed and processed for the purposes below by employees, consultants and/or service providers of HBL around the world. Please note that the laws regarding personal information in some of the jurisdictions involved may be less stringent than the laws of the country in which you reside.

The provision of personal information on this Site is voluntary. Failure to provide sufficient information, however, may result in HBL being unable to consider your employment application, or if employment is offered, your subsequent promotion, transfer, or relocation.

HBL maintains computer systems in Pakistan and in various countries throughout the world. HBL may collect, store, process, disseminate or use your personal information in a manner that causes it to be transferred or accessed from computer systems owned or operated by or on behalf of HBL throughout its global computer network.

WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Given the international nature of HBL's activities, HBL manages its people resources on a global basis and makes their information available to authorised personnel in any country in which HBL operates.

Your personal information will be disclosed to authorised staff within HBL and may be shared with other companies in HBL or with agents who have a business need to access such personal information and may include recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services personnel, managers, and/or their respective designees to process your application; to provide to you any services available on this Site from time to time; to communicate with you; to comply with any applicable law or regulation; to manage the relationship between you and HBL; to monitor and record services whether provided by HBL or a third party; and to communicate with credit reference and information agencies. Other than those listed below, your personal information will not be disclosed to any external body unless you have consented or HBL is under a legal obligation or entitlement or other duty to do so:

• agents, contractors or third party service suppliers providing services to    support HBL's business operations
• persons under a duty of confidentiality to HBL including auditors and    lawyers
• any person to whom we may transfer our rights and obligations under any    agreement we may have with you.

HBL may disclose your personal information to verify or obtain additional information about you from third parties including education institutions, present and past employers and, if applicable, credit reference agencies. Credit reference agencies keep details of searches. You may contact us to find out which agencies have been used.

HBL will from time to time store personal data in accordance with the circular/directives received from the State Bank of Pakistan ("SBP") on storing banking customer data and information history and HBL will not sell or rent personal information about you to third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may share personal information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting HBL with the operation of the Site (which hosts the site and the candidate database). Those third parties will be required to protect personal information consistently with the terms of this Policy.

ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURES
HBL may also disclose personal information about you in order to: (1) protect the legal rights, privacy or safety of HBL or its employees, agents and contractors; (2) protect the safety and security of visitors to our web sites or other properties; (3) protect against fraud or other illegal activity or for risk management purposes; (4) respond to inquiries or requests from public authorities; (5) permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain; (6) enforce our Terms of Service; (7) where permitted by applicable law, in connection with a corporate restructuring, sale, or assignment of assets, merger, divestiture, or other changes of the financial status of HBL or any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies; or (8) comply with the law or legal process.

The recipients of these disclosures may be located in Pakistan or other countries where data protection laws may not provide an equivalent level of protection to the laws in the employment applicant's home jurisdiction, and in such cases, HBL will require the recipient to provide appropriate protection for the personal information disclosed to it.

DATA RETENTION
All personal information of candidates applying for jobs will be retained in accordance with HBL's data retention policies as provided from time to time by SBP through its guidelines. If there is no activity in relation to the personal information, HBL has the discretion to remove it from its database, subject to HBL's data retention policies. Note that HBL may delete personal information about you at any time (including your CV/resume), for any reason and without notice. Therefore, please retain your own copy of the personal information that you provide to HBL.

SECURITY
HBL has taken reasonable steps: (a) to provide a secure environment for information submitted to or accessible via this Site, (b) to provide a site that is free from viruses and/or codes, and (c) to ensure that no disruption or damage is caused to your hardware and/or software as a result of using this Site. You understand that electronic communication systems may not provide a secure environment for your communications with us. It is your sole responsibility to use the appropriate level of care whenever communicating with us.

LINKS
This Site provides hypertext links to third party websites, including the websites for affiliates of HBL in other countries that will not follow the same Policy as this Site. For instance, clicking on elements on this Site may take you to an entirely different site. These sites may send their own cookies to you and may collect information and make use of that information in ways that this Site would not. Once you have left this Site, this Policy will no longer apply to personal information or any other information collected from or provided by you. HBL cannot and will not take responsibility for information found and submitted on third party websites. Such links are not an endorsement by HBL of any products or services provided on or via such websites. The use of such links is entirely at your own risk and HBL accepts no responsibility or liability for the content, use or availability of such websites. The content on third-party websites are subject to change without notice to HBL. HBL has not verified the truth, accuracy, reasonability, reliability, and completeness of any content of such websites.

GENERAL
The Policy is subject to change from time to time to accurately reflect our information collection, use and disclosure practices, changes in industry practice or changes in law. HBL reserves the right to change this Policy from time to time and without notice. It is recommended that you review the date of "last update" which is reflected at the end of the Policy to monitor any changes in the Policy. If you do not agree to the changes, please contact us to have information you submitted removed from our database.

PRIORITY
The provisions of this Policy in respect of the use of and access to your personal information have priority over any conflicting provisions in the Terms of Use.
